So much has happened this past week and it’s due to you guys!! Great job Drew Crew, we are steam rolling right along. Just think, March 28^th was the day that LeAnn and Sarah started this rally and provided us a place where we could unite and fight for Drew together. A big thanks to you ladies for getting this rally going. It’s good to know we have a voice and it is going to be heard!!!!! Tell your friends, make your calls, email and write in to General Hospital. All ABC contact info is on our Face Book page under the Discussions tab.

Also due to constant Face Book updates, some followers are feeling a little bombarded. Please just remind them to go to the edit options and hide us. I have been informing my friends to do this before they joined the page. This way we don’t lose the extra support. We want to keep you, and keep you happy. Plus you can always check on our page if you feel you missed something. So again, have people visit the Face Book page, follow us on Twitter, visit the online store, sign the petitions, share the you tube videos, and read our blog site. Let’s keep putting our heads together and show ABC how real we are. We are getting Drew the attention he deserves and it’s all because of you guys!! I bet Drew appreciates the love we have for him. So let’s not let him down and fight for him until the end!!!!

Hey there big guy! How’s your week been so far? I assume that your phone lines are pretty busy. Get used to it. Or you could just save your receptionist her sanity from numerous calls, and bring Drew back.

So there have been a lot of rumors as to why Drew was fired. Let’s address them; it’s okay. It’s just you and me. I won’t tell anyone. The biggest one is that Drew was not considered “Hunky” enough. Let’s be honest, have you really look at the men on GH lately? The only “Hunky” guys whom I have seen are Jason, Dante, and Sonny. (Side note we want to see Jason with his shirt off more).So if you are looking for beef cakes, give Drew some protein shakes, hire him a personal trainer and in six months he will be too hot for daytime. There. That problem is solved.

Then there is the rumor that Michael is just not suitable to be written for a love interest based on the current history. The writers should stop writing the characters into a corner. Michael will still be remembered as killing his stepmother no matter whose face you put in there. Also a GOOD writing team should be able to soften Michael right now. So after all of this aftermath of the evil step mommy, he could make the transition toward a love interest. But first don’t you think the character should get some therapy??

Steve Burton was never recast and his role turned a 180 from playing doctor to playing the grim reaper. Plus Sonny just shot his own son, and put a bullet in Carly’s head while giving birth to Morgan and yet Sonny has been with almost every woman who has been on GH. Oh let’s not forgot the famous Luke and Laura rape story line. So if the writing team can go out of their way and write for Sonny and Jason and make them loveable, then they can do the same for the current Michael, and let Drew show you what he can do, hasn’t he already?

Now there was also a random internet rumor that the acting coach didn’t like him, well if that’s true fire the acting coach. It’s not them I want to see on my TV every day. Plus it’s sad to think that an acting coach could really get someone fired. But remember these are rumors I never said these were facts.

There is another little rumor that because ratings are low, it was seen as a good idea to bring Chad Duell on, because of a built in fan base. Let’s focus on keeping the long time LOYAL viewers happy before we go all Disney here okay? You can bring Chad on for another role and keep Drew. That way we all are happy.

Now that we have addressed a few of the rumors, I think it’s safe to say there really is no reason to get rid of Drew. Come on Brian, you don’t want to see the daytime dramas getting cancelled because fans are fed up. Next thing you know you’ll be up in your office talking to Snookie about her new talk show that consists of her love for bump-its and shoes. Brian, I hope you make the right choice. Attention Drew Crew and newcomers!! We are officially announcing a new GH Day. Grab your Drew hats, wear your shirts, and fill your mugs. Tuesday, April 20^th is the Great American Chad Out Day. That’s right Drew Crew!! So hide your remotes and unplug the TV if that’s what it takes. (Don’t worry, Mr. Fronz, your shirts and mugs are in the mail, just make sure you share with Jill and Robert).

April 20^th is the scheduled air date when re-cast Chad Duell is to take over the role of Michael. I do realize that some people feel we are being harsh on Chad. We (the fans) feel that Chad was just cast in the wrong role. We mean nothing personal toward Chad. We wish Chad no harm and we don’t want him jobless either. We actually have a few ideas about what GH could do with him. Chad could be another son of AJ Quartermaine, who was the result of a drinking blackout in Vegas (hey these things happen). We could name him Jackson Thomas/Quartermaine. You don’t like the name? Don’t worry, we can change it. Edward could mentor him into becoming a true Quartermaine. Perhaps his character could start dating Kristina and have a competitive relationship with his brother Michael? This would be round two of a Jason and AJ feud. A storyline such as this may also help bring life to the Q family once again. Maybe the Q’s could even test Michaels’s DNA to prove he really is his brother. GH can make it work! We’re talking about a soap opera, are we not?

You still don’t think my ideas are good enough? Well GH, you may take what you want and leave the rest. Fans will set up a suggestion box on what type of character you could create for Chad. The long lost son storyline certainly seems to be the theme as of late.

So what can the Drew fans do on TGACO day? With my Drew mug in hand, I for one will be watching old Drew clips on You Tube. I know there are enough Emmy winning performances I can watch that can fill up an hour. Will I ever turn GH back on? I most likely will not watch again. I have only been watching GH everyday this year because of Drew. Because I won’t be watching GH doesn’t mean I don’t love the other actors, but enough is enough! In the last month we have seen very little of Drew on the air. Even when he is on the air, he may only be in one scene. I wonder if the lack of scenes with Drew was just a pre-planned way trying to make us adjust to the new Michael. How are we not going to notice that our mini Jason look-a-like has now turned into a Spinelli look alike?

I keep listening to the song We’re Not Gonna Take It by Twisted Sister. A lot of the fans feel like we’re Not Gonna Take it! Are you a fan of Twisted Sister, Mr. Fronz; because you should be!

ABC we love GH but apparently, whoever it was who decided that Drew should be replaced hasn’t been allowed a vacation in far too long! Let’s just call this what it is; poor judgment from muddled thinking--and bring Drew back! Once Drew is back on GH we can all get along again.

The Drew Crew membership has been growing nonstop since the FB page was created on March 28^th 2010. So far the troops have managed to do four radio pod casts, news segments, this new blog site, and started an online store. The Drew Crew is all over the internet! Additionally, we are in discussions with other media personalities for even more publicity.

The Drew Crew is not going to stop until Drew Garrett is cast as Michael once again. ABC, all we ask is for you to just admit that you made a mistake in firing Drew Garrett and correct it. You obviously know how passionate soap fans are about our favorite soaps and their actors. In just a week we already have 1,355 members on our Keep Drew Garrett fan page and the number gets higher every minute. So if you have had enough of your phones blowing up with bring back Drew calls, do the smart thing and bring back Drew!

Give us back our true Michael Corinthos III. Millions of us have remained loyal through the years and now we want something back from you! So Drew Heads mark your calendars for Tuesday April 20^th!! Get ready for The Great American Chad Out Day, and we will show ABC that for once, fans have had enough and we’re not going to take it anymore!!!

I do, I was there when he woke up as were all of you. No one knew what to expect from newcomer Drew Garrett. He wasn’t the red headed little boy, who we knew and loved as Michael Corinthos III. Instead, he was a tall, blonde hair, blue eyed young man. Some of us fell in love with him right away, and for some of us it took time. I felt sympathy for Michael, yet I also wanted to smack him upside the head. You know what that’s called; Brilliant acting. That’s what it is and that’s what Drew did. I know a lot of people were upset because Drew had played Michael as an angry punk. Well he did what the writers wanted. Besides who wouldn’t be angry? He woke up out of a yearlong coma, not knowing what happened to him. He found out he had permanent brain damage. His mother is having a pregnancy that could kill her. He was made to feel incapable of taking care of him, due to his injury. His dad is a mob boss that’s always in danger. On top of being a teenager, then kills his stepmother.

Drew was challenged to bring all theses emotional issues within Michael to surface. Drew was able to do this while making US (the fans) FEEL in the process. That’s what a talented actor does. We all rooted for Michael from his wanting to do the right thing and confess, like throwing blows at Jax for destroying his family.

We love Michael and we love what Drew has brought to him. Drew has succeeded beyond our expectations in playing Michael. In fact, Drew has done so well in creating Michael that he has earned a Pre-Nomination for an Emmy. In our eyes he’s already won. He has amazing chemistry with the whole cast. One of my favorite scenes is when Michael hits Jason. Jason held onto him and gave Michael a brief kiss on the head. Such a touching scene from Steve Burton that we don’t see often, so why is Drew leaving, especially during the climax of a front burner story line?

I couldn’t wait to see Drew hit those court scenes; confess to his older brother he was the one guilty of killing Claudia. Now with this shocking recast, I’m afraid the story won’t mean much to a lot of us. Not without Drew. We have watched him grow into this role, he made it his own. It feels as soon as he started to take off they have taken him away. Michael is an important character of GH history and the future generation of GH . The fans firmly believe that Drew could carry this role and be true to it. We can also see him with many Emmy nominations down the road. You can just feel the energy when he is on screen. Many speculate that a recast was because he wasn’t dreamy enough. Since when should “dreamy” overpower pure acting talent? Besides, Drew is a young hottie that you know will get better looking even as he ages.

TV now days has become so reality based that it makes a lot of people not want to even watch TV, I know I don’t. But I watch GH. I appreciate good acting. We are all heartbroken that Drew is being replaced. I have watched GH since 1996 in my junior year of high school. My love for the soap kicked into high gear when I saw the dimples of a certain mobster. But even those dimples can’t stop me from being “turned off” to turn on the TV. We all let Drew into our homes 5 days a week and then to suddenly lose him within a year, makes my stomach turn.

Please ABC we’re not ready to let go of Drew as Michael. He isn’t someone we feel is replaceable, we have connected with him. Be it that he reminds of the son we no longer have, or the brain damaged little brother we want to protect. Please ABC, really look at the efforts to keep Drew on GH. We aren’t going to stop. I have spent almost the last two weeks reading endless comments from the fans and all the soap talk personalities. No one can figure out why, why ABC would let go of Drew Garrett when clearly we the fans, won‘t let go of him?
